Gel Candle Embeds

Embeds

Make sure you only use nonflammable gel candle embeds in your candles.

There are safe and unsafe gel candle embeds:

Safe Gel Candle Embeds

·        Wax

·        Glitter

·        Ceramics

·        Glass

·        Metal

·        Sand

·        Rocks

·        Marbles

·        Shells

Unsafe Gel Candle Embeds

·        Wood

·        Paper

·        Candy or Food

·        Rubber

·        Plastic

·        Or any other flammable objects

Most of the glass fish etc. you buy have a small hole at the top of them that you can hang them with. I use fishing line to hang them with. Then tape the ends of the line to the outside of the container while pouring. When the candle is cool, just clip one end of the fishing line close to the gel and pull the other end to remove it. Do this very slowly so you won’t disturb the gel. You can also hot glue embeds to items such as shells or a rock to give them the effect of swimming. DO NOT put gel candle embeds too close to the wick in your candle. DO NOT put too many embeds in the candle and over crowd it. Use warning labels on all your candles.

You can also hot glue objects to rocks, shells etc.

I recommend this site for glass embeds:

Hanging A Fish Embed

Here is an example of hanging a glass fish gel candle embed in your container with fishing line and tape. I took a long skewer, broke it in half and taped the two together for the wick holder.
